100% Savagnin
Isolated plot in the hills of Mesnay, surrounded by forest. Limestone scree deposits on marnes grises du lias (grey marls of the Jura). Grapes from this plot are always the last to be harvested.
A rare "abundant" vintage. Pressed with vertical basket press, descended into the cellar by gravity, aged four years in barrel. Bottled by hand.
Vines removed from plot in January 2024 due to extremely low productivity. New plantation to come.
