A soft and elegant Riesling from the Eastern-exposed clay-limestone soils of the lieu-dit Brandhof. One of the plots nominated for the classification of Alsace Premier Cru (which remains unofficial for the time being), the delicate slopes of the Brandhof descend towards the beginning of the village of Andlau and receive less direct sun than the parcels across the river. The results: a tender Riesling that beautifully contrasts the more austere expressions of the variety, with enticing tropical fruit notes, a supple mouth feel, and tingling salinity.
